Installation work

With Terrence, Hirata-san, Mark and Fujii-kun (remotely).

  • Yesterday we finished assembling the geophones and put them on the table next to SR3, with their cylindrical axis oriented with the main interferometer X axis.
  • Fujii-kun will take measurements at midnignt and will calibrate the geophones with the seismometer upstairs in IXV.
  • The serial numbers of the pre-amplifiers used in the geophones are No. 174, 175 and 178. To which input in the SRM rack they are connected to will follow tomorrow (Geo test 1, Geo test 2 or Geo test 4).
  • We raised the suspension by 3.5 mm using ther jacks. The thread is 2 mm. We moved the jacks by 1¾ turns counterclockwise.
  • We calibrated the F0 fishing stepper motor. See separate entry.

> Fujii-kun will take measurements at midnignt and will calibrate the geophones with the seismometer upstairs in IXV.

-- The measurement was done at earlymorning on Jan 30th JST and it looked fine, i.e., the geophone signals were not strange, and high-coherence was observed between the geophones and the seismometer signals.
-- Caliration will be done in offline and this information is to be implemented to the MEDM.

With Hirata-san and Fujii-kun.

Tha geophones were moved to the IP table. They were placed according to the last column of the following table:

Geophone pre-amplifier number Cable on test bench (by SR3) Position in SRM IP table
175 Geo test 1 H1
174 Geo test 2 H2
178 Geo test 4 H3

See notebook report here.

After pre-amp board replacement, the geophones were calibrated again and the obtained paramters are the following:

geo_name Ge [V/(m/s)] f0 [Hz] eta
geo-H1 243.96 1.0393 0.3220
geo-H2 240.33 1.0209 0.3263
geo-H3 240.41 1.1301 0.3011

The frequency responce of the geophone in V/(m/s) was estimated with the seismometer signal at IXV, like raw_geophone_sig / seismometer.

These calibration factors will be implemented after geophone signals come back.
