I computed the expected improvement of inspiral range for the silent run data on 2025/04/06. The motivation is to evaluate the expected contribution by mitigating the bumps around 334 Hz and 361 Hz (which Komori-san pointed out in klog33323).
Here I assume we could mitigating of several bump or line noise and interpolate linearly the sensitivity. The results and jupyter notebook is available at JGWdoc. The previous works are klog32877 and klog31370.
Summary
- I used the data of 2025/04/06 21:10:0 ~ 21:20:0 UTC. The data was taken in the silent run.
- By assuming the noise improvement over several frequency bands, we could obtain ~7% improvement of the inspiral range.
- I selected the frequency bands shown in the attached txt file. The first and second columns indicate the frequency bands. The third column indicates the improvement of the range.
- The largest expected improvements can be seen in 111~135Hz (+3.7%).
- The expected improvement by mitigating the bump around 334 Hz and 361 Hz are +0.7% and +0.7%, respectively. The plots are available at JGWdoc.
