Closed the gate valve between MCF and IFI

[Kimura and Yasui]

 At 1:20 p.m., the gate valve between the MCF and the IFI was closed, and the gate valve interlock was disabled.

The pressure in the MCF prior to closing the gate valve was 2.8 × 10⁻⁵ Pa.

After closing the gate valve, we closed the gate valve between the vacuum duct and the #1 vacuum pump unit, and turned off the #1 ion pump.

We started venting the IMC at 14:50.
We stopped the venting at 16:12. The vacuum pressure reached 0.12 atm.

Uchiyama

A horizontal line to indicate the mounting direction was drawn on the 400-diameter flange with reference to the laser leveler beam. Also, I put a sticker that marked "Up" in the upward direction so that I could see the up and down direction.

We removed the bellows duct and dia. 400 flange from the MCF chamber.
Since there is a high-quality window on the dia. 400 flange, we protected both sides of the window with plastic covers and so on.

We attached the 400-diameter flange. The flange’s rotation was adjusted so that the previously marked line aligns with the laser leveler’s line.

We tightened the dia. 400 flange and the bellows duct (Photo 2) at MCE. The torques we applied them as follows,

Dia. 400 flange: 20 -> 40 -> 40 Nm (Photo 1)
Bellows duct MCE side: 20 -> 40 -> 60 -> 70 Nm (Photo 3)
Bellows duct MCF side: 20 -> 40 -> 60 -> 60 Nm (Photo 4)

Fig. 1 shows the current vacuum pressure level.
Fig. 2 shows time trend of the vacuum pressure in IMC.

The current vacuum pressure level in IMC is 1.1E-4 Pa. The vacuum pressure is continuously decreasing.

We opened GVifi from 10:00 to 10:26 for the IMCL measurement. Since the vacuum pressure at IFI was about 1E-4 Pa when GVifi was opened, we closed GVifi again to save the ion pump at IFI.

I generarted log-log plot for vacuum pressure and evaluated the expected pressure at the morning of 2nd Nov.
As Uchiyama-san forecasted, vacuum level would be 5e-5, I think

[Yamamoto, Ushiba]

We made log-log plot of MCF vacuum level (fig1).
Vacuum evacuation speed doesn't seem saturated and it will reach ~6e-5 Pa next Monday if the leak will limit the vacuum level until then.

Note:

Yamamoto-kun prepared the script to make log-log plot and anyone can use it from VAC_OVERVIEW medm (fig2).
To use the script, clock "Plots" at the bottom left of VAC_OVERVIEW and select  "Make log-log plot".
Then, GUI shown in fig3 is appeared, so selct start time, end time, and channels you want to make plot.
