As part of rcryo-cooler unit maintenance work, we removed the valve units from eight duct-shield rcryo-cooler units.
The removed valve units were packaged for return to the manufacturing plant to undergo disassembly and inspection.
The eight valve units are scheduled to be returned from the plant in March after parts replacement.

On 15 Jan., as part of maintenance work on the cryo-cooler units, the compressor ( Yea ) for the duct shield cryo-cooler unitin the Y-end machine room was replaced.
The removed compressor was packaged for repair.
Preparatory work was performed for replacing the two failed compressors in the center machine room.
Replacement with refurbished compressors is scheduled for next week or later.
The compressor from the Y-end machine room and the two failed compressors from the center machine room ( X-P53 and Y-P-53 ) are scheduled to be returned to the factory in February.
The cooling water circulation system in the central machinery room has been temporarily shut down for compressor replacement work.
Operation is scheduled to resume in early February.

As part of maintenance work on the cryogenic cooling units, we removed two valve units from the radiation shield cryo-coolers (P-53 and P-55) of EYC.
The removed valve units were packaged and returned to the manufacturing plant, where they will be disassembled and inspected.
We plan to remove the remaining valve units from the IXC, IYC, and EXC radiation shield cryo-coolers early next week.

On March 23, as part of maintenance work on the cryogenic cooling units, we removed two valve units from the radiation shield cryo-coolers (P-53 and P-55) of EXC.
The removed valve units were packaged and returned to the manufacturing plant, where they will be disassembled and inspected.
We plan to remove the remaining valve units from the IXC and IYC radiation shield cryo-coolers on March 24.

On March 24, as part of maintenance work on the cryogenic cooling units, we removed four valve units from the radiation shield cryo-coolers (IXC P-53, IXC P-55, IYC P-53 and IYC P-55).
The removed valve units were packaged and returned to the manufacturing plant, where they will be disassembled and inspected.

On May 25 and 26, as part of maintenance work on the cryogenic cooling units, we set up two valve units for the radiation shield cryo-coolers (EXC P-53 and EXC P-55).
Then we charged G-1 class helium gas into the helium commpressors (EXC P-53,EXC P-55) up to 15 bar.
