First contact PRM

[Hirata, Ikeda-san]

We applyed FC to PRM. Procedure is as below. Tomorrow we will pill off FC.

1.Lock Suspension(IM→RM→TM)

2.Cleaning(floor, inside chamber by vectra-α with ethanol and vacuum cleaner)

3.Surface inspection of HR and AR side by photo

4.Set FC jig

5.FC apply(AR→HR)

Surface inspection photos were uploaded to KAGRA Dropbox. We can see some small dots, but it looks better than PR3. We couldn't set the camere in good position. Surface inspection is very difficult.

I pilled off FC on PRM mirror. Some edges remained.

  • Drying time: 22h 
  • AR side: We can see tag footprint and edges(about 30mm away from the center).
  • HR side: We can see upper edges(about 60mm away from the center).

We applied First contact partially to PRM to remove edges of FC. When we work for AR side, FC string like spider web appeared and attached to the surface. So we applied FC on that string too.

Tomorrow morning, we will try to pill off them.

[Hirata, Aso-san]

This morning, we pilled off FC. Still we could see some residues of FC.

  • waiting time: 17h
  • ARside: The area which we applied FC were looked crouded. So, we applied FC partially again. 15min later we pilled off. Still we can see some dots.
  • HRside: Upper left side, some dots were existed. We applied FC again and removed them. It looks no big issue on HR side.

After that, we released suspention and lower bread board. And recovered suspention.
