SRM OL windshield

I improvised a windshield for SRM basically by wrapping the whole set up with aluminium foil, leaving no openings.

Figure 1 and 2 shows preliminary results of the residual motion before and after installing the windshield.

The spectra were measured with all controls on. The results show that the SRM reaches the type B lock-aquisition requirement.

Since I have accidentally touched the folding mirror, the diagonalization might be changed by a bit. And, because we now have a much sensitive OL, I intended to do another round of diagonalization, which is still on-going. Results will be updated later.

I measured residual motion again after diagonalization.

The result is good and can easily surpass the lock requirement.

Residual displacement (Lock-acqusition and Observation phase)
  Requirement Result
Longitudinal 0.4 µm 0.1076 µm
Pitch 1 µrad 0.0569 µrad
Yaw 1 µrad 0.0598 µrad

Residual velocity (Lock-acqusition and Observation phase)
  Requirement Result
Longitudinal 0.5 µm/s 0.1014 µm/s
Pitch / 0.2165 µrad/s
Yaw/ / 0.1776 µrad/s
