SR2 OPLEV

Today

I swapped the lens with 150 mm focal length inside the lens holder with the 300 mm one.

I measured varies distances that are required for obtaining the OL2EUL matrix.

The details are listed below:

  • Viewport to steering mirror: 290 mm
  • steering mirror to TILT QPD: 175 mm
  • Steering mirror to BS: 50 mm
  • BS to lens: 40 mm
  • So we need the legnth sensing QPD to be 384 mm behind the lens.
  • lens to folding mirror: 105 mm
  • folding mirror to length QPD: 279 mm

The QPDs are also not calibrated yet so I will do it tomorrow. OPLEV shall be ready by tomorrow.

Since this report is regarding the OpLevs, it should be under AOS sections!

The reason is that otherwise when later somebody wants to search for OpLev reports, he or she won't find anything under the respective Task in the AOS section.

Ok, I will switch to AOS section from now on whenever I post things about OPLEV. (Following Akutsu-san's convention.)

To avoid misunderstandings by the other average readers, I like to put this post, as it would be difficult to understand what were the background from their posts.... phew. What I suggested to Terrence and Simon in an e-mail were as follows. This is just a matter of to which subgroup the responsibilty of the work belongs:

...this is a difficult part of the current klog, where we cannot select two or more subgroups at once. Just for a reference, from the iKAGRA era,
I did as follows basically (but sometimes not):

(1) For the installation of an oplev setup, I selected AOS.
(2) For tuning or some testing of the oplev setup, I selected the user's subgroup like IOO, MIF, CRY, or VIS.
