Summary
- We installed a PAD at OMMT2 tras, which will be used to detect a high power laser entering the OMC and protect the PDs.
- The PDA was connected to a ADC port at OMC0 rack.
- OMC0 - ADC3 - 18 was the expected channel, but apparently the wrong connection was made. (Mr Yokozawa then went to correct this.)
Details
- By blocking the beams at OMMT2 TRAS, we confirmed which QPD is the unused one(`OMMT2_TRANS_QPDA2`).
- Installed a PD(PDA 100A) on the QPDA2 side just after the BS. (Fig 3)
- Used Moku:Lab with a short USB cable to check the signal and adjusted the alignemnt by changing the alignment of the BS.
- Changed the gain on the PDA to be 70dB which is the maximum, which gave 778mV output measured by the Moku:Lab. The interferometer status at the time: Yarm IR locked, IMC 1W output. (Fig 1, 2)
- Routed a long cable (20 m?) from this PDA to the OMC0 rack. (Crawled across the ceiling.) (Fig 4)
- Connected the BNC to a port at OMC0 - ADC3. Num18 was the expected channal, but wrong connection was made.
Note
- The PDA installed was brought from Yend yesterday by Yokozawa-san.
- The long USB cable used were taken from a PEM rack (IYC-K-A-1). With permission of Yokozawa-san.
- The power supply for the PDA was placed in a small rack next to the OMM chamber. The source of its AC power line is SC-12-4.
