Summary of recent segment for IPC glitch (2023/09~11)

I summarized the recent situation of the IPC glitch from September. This information of number of glitch and time were taken from the segment files for the IPC glitch. I checked the result very quickly and put the comments below.

  • Number of IPC glitch per day
    • format : [number of IPC glitch] [path to segment file on m31]
    • The IPC glitch still exists. From 10/20 to 10/31, the occurrence rate was less than 30 per day. After 11/01, the rate increased to more than 40.
  • Summary of IPC glitch on September
    • During O4a, the time of the IPC glitch concentrated the time of 12:00 ~ 13:00. Now we can't find such a trend. The IPC glitches looks like happening randomly.
  • Summary of IPC glitch on October
    • Before 10/12, the time of IPC glitch looks concentrated the time of 21:00 ~ 22:00 JST. (why!?) After 10/12, the time are shifting to be later gradually.
  • Summary of IPC glitch on November
    • The IPC glitch looks concentrated the time of 1:00 ~ 2:00 JST.
  • I checked the timeseries data which were used to create the segment (K1:FEC-8_TIME_DIAG, K1:FEC-11_TIME_DIAG, K1:FEC-83_TIME_DIAG, K1:FEC-103_TIME_DIAG). Sometimes the duration of the IPC glitch is more than 1 sec [image].

Because some segments are more than 2-second long duration, each segment may have more than 2 glitches.
This means that an actual number of glitches may be larger than one counted by segments.

I checked when the DAQ was restarted after September by checking the channel K1:GRD-SYS_DAQ_STATE_N on the ndscope.

I added the information of the DAQ restart to the text file and the durations of IPC glitches. I partially found information about which model was updated at the DAQ restart. However, such information was not stored in the klog.

Comments on number of IPC glitch

  • I can't find the apparent relationship between the number of IPC glitches and the timing of the DAQ restart.
    • One thing: after the DAQ restart on 10/23, the IPC glitch seems to be carm, compared with other DAQ restarts.
  • DAQ restart on 10/04
    • Even though the DAQ restart was done at 4:59, the long IPC glitches (duration > 1 s) appeared before the DAQ restart. It continued for over one hour. The process of make affects?
  • Long IPC glitch with duration > 1 s
    • When the long IPC glitches occur, they occur continuously, such as 10/04, 10/16, or 10/24.
    • After 10/28, the long IPC glitches disappeared. Note that the power outage happened on 10/27. 
  • I doubted that the number of IPC glitches on the weekend was less than on weekdays. But it's not true.
  • Ikeda-san might provide the information of which the real-time models were updated at each the DAQ restart,
