Scan to find the resonant frequency of the ITMX drumhead mode(Brief report)

M.Yamamoto,Nakano

As a test, We tried to excite an elastic mode of ITMX in a short time.

Happily, We find the resonance of ITMX.

We are currently exiciting the vibration at its resonant frequency and recording its decay time 10 times.

Q-value measurements will be completed around 21:00.

And We were going to scan of ITMX, but we won't do that work tonight.

Please don't touch IFO and k1ctr3 during the Q measurement (finish time is 21:00).

During this scan time, the following scan conditions were performed.

The confirmed resonant frequency was 23.75492 kHz.

Scanning conditions

Scan time: 18:13~18:40 JST(time: 1600 seconds)

Scan frequency span: 23.65325kHz~24.13kHz.

These scan conditions are similar to those of scanning with moku: lab in the past.

This indicates that if FPMI is locked even though the Q factor of the test mass is 1E+6, excitation may be possible in a short time with moku: lab.

To excite the resonance of the drumhead mode of the ITMX, the DGS settings were changed as follows.

①Change ITMX TM COIL driver from test port to drive port
1. VIS ITMX TM OLDAMP FILTER Y from -1.0 to 0.0
2. COIL TEST ENABLE on  TM COIL DRIVER from 0.0 to 1.0

②Change Band-Pass-Filter of K1ASC-OMC_REFL_QPDA1_RF17_I1 and K1ASC-OMC_REFL_QPDA1_RF17_I2(maybe both)
Changed Band-Pass-Filter(duraction:23.65325kHz~24.13kHz)

The attachment figure is the excited resonant peak.
