Pressurization of OMC to atmospheric pressure

Date of work:
7, July, 2023

Workers:
Kimura, Yasui and M. Takahashi

Abstract:
We pressurized OMC and OMMT atmospheric pressure.
The following is a record of the opening and closing of valves and the pressure of the pressurization process.

9:45 FFU and lighting turned " ON"
9:54 Gate Valve between SRM and OMMT was "Close".
         Set safty valve.
9:56 Gate Valve between Ion pump and TMP was "Open".
10:01 Pressurization was  started by G-2 class grade air.
10:04 Pressure in OMC was 1.4 x 10^2 Pa
10:15              "    8.6 x 10^2 Pa
10:25              "    1.5 x 10^3 Pa
10:35              "    2.1 x 10^3 Pa
10:45              "    2.8 x 10^3 Pa
10:55              "    3.4 x 10^3 Pa
11:05              "    4.1 x 10^3 Pa. Increased air flow.
11:11              "    4.6 x 10^3 Pa
11:20              "    9.2 x 10^3 Pa
11:23              "    1.3 x 10^4 Pa
11:30              "    1.8 x 10^4 Pa
11:33              "    2.2 x 10^4 Pa
12:56              "    7.9 x 10^4 Pa. Replace the cylinder because the residual pressure of air in the cylinder has reached zero.
13:06              "    8.3 x 10^4 Pa
13:22              "    8.7 x 10^4 Pa
13:30              "    9.4 x 10^4 Pa
13:36 The pressurization process is terminated because the pressure in the OMC has reached atmospheric pressure.

The volume of high-purity air used was approximately 7.2 m^3 (atmospheric pressure equivalent).

The specifications of the high-purity air (G-2 grade) used are given below for reference;
