Results of leak test for X-15 vacuum pump unit

When:
31/Jan./2023
From 13:15 to 13:56

Workers:
N. Kimura
H. Yasui
M. Takahashi

Task:
We performed a vacuum leak test for X-15 vacuum pump unit using a helium leak detector and helium gas.
(X-15 vacuum pump unit is installed position of 1500 m of X-arm.)
The tests were performed on all flange connections except the top flange of the OMMT and OMC and the area on the ASC side of the OMC.
The test was conducted with a test sensitivity of ~1 x 10^-13Pam^3/s, confirming that there was no leakage > ~1 x 10^-13 Pam^3/s .
Helium background during the test ranged was < 1.0x 10^-13 Pam^3/s.

Activated Ion pump of X-15 vacuum pump unit was connected to the X-arm on 1st/Feb.
