Summaries of Ion Pump Activation

Abstract:

 We tried to activate twelve ion pumps installed on X-arm, Y-arm, IXV and IYV from 17/Jan./2023 to 20/Jan./2023.
The operating status on 20/Jan./2023 of each pump we started up is recorded on the K-log.
Nine of the twelve ion pumps were successfully activated. The remaining three pumps could not be activated due to failure of high-voltage power supply.
The causes of the failure were presumed to be a high-voltage leakage due to humidity.
See the note below for the locations of the ion pumps were not activated.

Abstract:
 On 26/Jan./2023, we checked the operational status of the ion pumps of X&Y-arms these were activated up last week.
 In addition, as a measure against condensation in the plastic case containing the high-voltage power supply,
 we removed the sealant attached to the cable paths in the plastic cases.
 See attached photos to confirm before and after.

This was done to introduce tunnel air into the plastic cases and make the temperature inside the case the same as the tunnel temperature.
 In addition, some of the moisture-absorbing material installed in the plastic case was replaced.
