Visual inspection and EQ stop adjustment of MCO

[Akutsu, Sato, Takahashi, Tamaki, Ushiba]

Since MCO suspension seem strange (klog20382), we visually inspected MCO suspensions and found that the EQ stop of TM stage top was almost touching.
So, Takahashi-san rotated that screw and moved it about 1.4 mm up.
After the work, we found MCO angle was somehow moved a lot in yaw during the visual inspection, which was probably not related to the EQ stop adjustment according from the jumping time (11:30 JST), even though we do not really confirmed.
So, we realigned the MCO with respect to the OpLev QPD (detail of this recovery work will be posted soon in the different post).

Hopefully, details of visual inspection will be posted by Takahashi-san and Sato-san.

We inspected the MCO suspension with our eyes and the fiberscope. We could not find any touching point.

  • EQ stop: The top stopper and the right bottom stopper had small gaps (photo). They were screwed out more.
  • Coil-magnet: The right bottom magnet deviated from the center of the coil (photo). There was still enough gap.
  • IRM magnet: The damper magnet had a small gap (photo). The IRM was shifted at the suspension point.
