Result of the vacuum leak repair work at EXV
When: 9/Feb./2022
Who:Kimura, Uchiyama (KEK), Takahashi (NAOJ), Yasui (ICRR) and Tomaru
Task:
The vacuum leak repair work of the D-sub connector of the EXV was carried out.
Uchiyama coming from KEK used a jig with a thin tube attached to a helium gun to find the leak point of the D-sub connector.
As a result, he identified a vacuum leak on the sixth of the nine pins of the D-sub connector.
After identifying the location of the vacuum leak, Uchiyama-san filled the leak location with VACSEAL diluted five times with acetone.
After filling, the leak of 1.1 x10^-7 Pam^3/s was stopped and the background of 1x10^-10 Pam^3/s was successfully maintained.

The next morning we will perform another leak test on the repaired area to confirm that the repair is complete.
Please see the attached series of work photos for reference.
