Installation of the geophone to OMC chamber
[RTakahashi, Sato, Yokozawa]

We set up the geophone for the vibration check at OMC chamber.
Geophone part setting and feed through setting will be reported by RTakahashi-san.

1. Set the seismometer near the OMC chamber.
2. Temporally placed the geophone distributor circuit to 18 of the OMC2 rack
3. Using PEM Yobi D-sub cable, we connected from geophone distributor to IY0 rack
- Channel name is K1:PEM-PORTABLE_IYC_RACK_IY0_ADC1_DSUB5
4. Set the geophone on the floor of OMC chamber
5. Measured the spectrum and evaluated the calibration factor of geophone by comparing with seismometer(Y arm direction)
- temporal calibration factor was evaluated by eye to overlap the spectrum around 10-20Hz between geophone and seismometer(Fig.1.)
6. Set the geophone to OMC chamber
- Current spectrum is shown in Fig.2.

We installed the geophone pod into the OMC chamber.

  1. Attached the feedthrough flange (D-sub 9pin x8) onto the OMC chamber.
  2. Put the geophone pod (#35-179) on the floor by the chamber.
  3. Connected the in-vacuum cables from the feedthrough to the pod.
  4. Connected the outer cables from the feedthrough to the geophone distributer.
  5. Compared the geophone spectrum with the seismometer one.
  6. Moved the pod from the floor to the chamber. The pod was put on the breadboard (-X side) in the chamber.

Specification of geophone (#35): F0=1.02Hz, Q=1.9

I applied the frequency response by generating the time domain filter with the information of F0=1.02 and Q_1.9

The feedthrough flange (Dsub 9pin x8) for the geophone, which was used to measure the vibration on the breadboard in the OMC chamber, was replaced with the blank flange.
