IMMT suspension

[Takahashi, Sato, Ito]

We investigated the condition of IMMT suspensions.

IMMT1

  • Handling bars (Mikoshibou) can be attached to Y+ and Y- directions of the suspension frame.
  • Access flanges (X+ and Y-) have only 400mm in diameter. It is difficult to lift up the frame by our hands with the handling bars.
  • Jacks attached to the frame using the M12 screw holes for the handling bars are necessary to lift up the frame.
  • To keep the horizontal position of suspension frame, it is better to guide the frame from four sides.

IMMT2

  • Stop screws used in the MCo suspension is available to push the frame in slithery.

[Takahashi, Akutsu, Yano, Tanaka]

We investigeted the IMMT suspensions again.

IMMT1

  • IM was tilted to the pitch direction.
  • Though the IM was not touching the magnets, the gaps in X+/- side were small (It was difficult to take a photo). The gaps in Y+/- side were large enough (see photos).

IMMT2

  • The gaps in Y+/- side were large enough (see photos). There was no gap in X- side (It was difficult to take a photo).

I checked the gaps in X+/- side with the fiber scope.  The gaps were even in IMMT1. The gap in X- side was small but not touching in IMMT2.
