BF GAS LVDT calibration and Release Sensor check

[Takahashi, Sato, Okutomi]

BF GAS LVDT calibration

  • Sensor efficiency: (346 +/- 14) V/m (see attached figure)
  • LVDT outputs are single-ended obtained with the Dsub=>BNC Converter (as reported in #2489)

Release Sensor check

  • We confirmed that the Release Sensors work correctly
  • The LEDs on the indicator box are lighted when a mass is sitting
  • Cabling work of the Release Sensors on the stages of DP and BF is also completed

Adjustable range check with Fishing Rod

  • Height of the keystone is adjustable only in the range of ~ 2 mm
    • We expected the range to be ~ 10 mm, so this is too small
    • We could NOT let the Dummy Payload (DP) sit on the Release Sensors with the Fishing Rod height adjustment
    • This could happen because blade springs on the Fishing Rod are designed for the optimal weight of the BF as ~ 50 kg, about a quarter of that of the DP
    • We'll add more blade springs parallel to the existing ones which are now in Mitaka
