We have done the initial alignment of the beam from IMMT2 to PR3.
What we did:
- Opened the flanges between PR3 chamber and PR3-PR2 duct, and turned on the Koach filters.
- Opened the flange of the PR2 chamber at BS side, and turned on the Koach filters.
- Opened the flanges between PR2 chamber and PR3-PR2 duct.
- Adjusted IMMT2 alignment with picomotors by centering the beam on PR2. We had some connector issue, so we had to actuate the picomotor with a temporary setup.
- Adjusted PR2 alignment by screwing the mount by hand to center the beam on PR3. The beam centering was done by eyeballs.
- We tried to measure the beam profile at PR3, but we couldn’t because of the software issue.
- We tried the initial alignment of the beam to IXA instead, but we also failed since we couldn’t actuate the PR3 traverser.
