Installation various.

With Hirata-san.

Together with the height adjustment (entry 7980) we did other tasks:

  • We set the damper ring with magnets hanging from the IP table at the right height in order to preserve its gap with the F1 filter. We moved it down 1.1 mm from nominal.
  • Because we won't use the F0 in order to compensate the bouyancy correction, I moved the F0 stepper motor back to its mid-range position (zero steps). We will need it to compensate for its own bouyancy its drift due to temperature.
  • In order to set the F0 LVDT to -1.1 mm  we put 302 grams on the F0 keystone.
  • We set the IP physical stoppers to ~ 5 mm at the narrow side. There is a narrow and a wide side because the IP is yawed.
  • Hirata-san checked the gap between the uppermost tip of the copper berylium blade and the physical stopper above. The measured gaps between 4 and 5 mm, which was considered safe in order to avoid the touching.
  • Hirata-san removed kapton tape from geophones and copper berylium bladed and cleaned.
  • The distribution of the geophones in the IP table is as follows:
    • Defining the Y axis at 12 o'clock and the X axis at 3 o'clock,
    • Place at 1 o'clock: Geo 6.
    • Place at 5 o'clock: Geo 5. This had an additional note: "Hirizontal From X end".
    • Place at 9 o'clock: Geo 4.

The temperature was 26 ºC.
