Closing the EXT chamber

Mirapro (Ito, Shimizu) with Akutsu

Closed most of the flanges of the EXT chamber (Fig 1-4), so that the chamber can be pumped down. The purpose to the pumping down is to check the TMS's behavior in vacuum as early as possible. Hopefully will open the GV and make the Xarm no windows.

  • Two K400 flanges at the bottom of the chamber were closed.
  • One K400 flange with an ICF152 and two ICF70 was closed. The two ICF70 were also closed. The ICF152 is now opened.
  • Two side hatches were closed.
  • The top lid of the chamber was closed.

As for the closed flanges today, All the viton o-rings were replaced to the new ones.

During the work, I also monitored the LVDT signals. Two vibration timings shown in Fig 5 were just I shook the TMS-VIS intentionally to check the sensors were living. Other than those, any large shooks were not observed even the workers were moving, closing, and tightening. One exception was the timing we opened the top cover so that the top lid can sit on the chamber, and the waveforms were shown in Fig 6.
