We did phase lock a Prometheus to the main laser!!
The attached figure is the beatnote signal during control.
What we did;
- put jumper pins in the Dsub-BNC Converter (DAC) chassis in order to ground the outside of BNC.
- created filter bank so that the temperature of a Prometheus can be varied by offset.
- Yesterday, the peak of the beatnote was -18 dBm, but it had dropped to about -30 dBm today. So, we raised the power of Prometheus side from about 3mW to 15mW so that the peak of the beatnote is -11dBm. (The phase frequency discriminator (PFD) requires a beatnote signal with a peak of -11dBm)
- locked the beatnote at 40MHz. (This means the frequency of Prometheus was locked at 40MHz away from the main laser.)
