Related to klog5873, the decay time of the lowest yaw mode of BS was measured. The resonant frequency, 1/e decay time constant and Q-factor were:
49 mHz, 40 sec, 6.2 respectively.
It was confirmed that the lowest Yaw mode of BS was damped within the requirement (1min. so far.) without any controls. These results using BS/SR3 will let us know better installation procedure for MD. In any case, all the decay time constants are to be measured to check if all the resoances which disturbe the lock-acquisition are properly damped by active controls and passive damper.
