Viewport inbetween SRM and OMM

Kozu, Akutsu

Tried to replace the aluminum plate inserted in the gate of the pendulum valve inbetween the SRM and OMM chambers by an expensive AR window, but found the screw heads for fixing the plate are not torx as the other viewports on the gates but pozidriv ...

Hey Japanese folks, have you ever heard of that? Facially, it seems like a usual cross-type (or "plus" we call) screw but actually it does not. Note that the Japanese plus screw head is close to phillips in some of the other countries. With the usual plus screwdrivers we have in Japan, the pozidriv screw heads will easily get cam out and stripped (broken; nameru in Japanese). For example, I've heard some furnitures of IKEA use screws of pozidriv heads (I haven't bought themcheeky); those who are IKEA supporters in Japan, please be careful.

The screw heads might be torqued by usual "plus" drivers but I hesitated to do this work and determined to buy the pozidriv driver set. This flange is for sealing the vacuum part from the that of air, so the danger of loss of torques or axial force should be avoided.

List of screw drives.
