Photosensor Calibration

Akutsu, Miyo, Simon

We continued the calibration of the photosensors today and tried to do Yesterday's measurement with a cover to shut-off any surrounding light.

  • No important difference to Yesterday's measurement could be found. So, the reason for the "initial Bulge" when the distance PS - Al-block is below 5mm, is probably due to the LED source of the PS (see figure).
  • We tried to blacken the PS-wall with some black painted piece of Al in order to reduce possibpe multiple reflections of the LED light. But also with this measurement, we could not find that the bulge vanishes.
  • We therefore keep the the PS setup (at the moment) unchanged and try to live with the bulge, although it limits the steep linear area before reaching the maximum value...
