nobuhiro.kimura - 13:02 Monday 18 January 2021 (15768) Print this report
Start cooling of the payload at IYC
At 10:52 AM, two cryo-coolers for the payload were switched on to start cooling of the payload at IYC.
The conditions before staring are as follows;
IYC BS side inside pressure=1.2 x 10^-6 Pa
IYC arm side inside pressure=4.1 x 10^-6 Pa
Yfa (duct shield cryo-cooler arm side) inside pressure=5.8 x 10^-6 Pa
IYC inside pressure=4.7 x 10^-6 Pa

8 K shield temp:
Top=31 K
Side=27 K

Condition of view-ports;
There are "NO' frosting on the surface of view ports visually.

I also upload result of Q-mass measurements.
See attached graphs.

I measured Q-mass inside IYC during cooling of IYC payload.
Please confirm attached three graphs.

The conditions during measurements are as follows;
IYC BS side inside pressure=1.1 x 10^-6 Pa
IYC arm side inside pressure=3.3 x 10^-6 Pa
Yfa (duct shield cryo-cooler arm side) inside pressure=5.0 x 10^-6 Pa
IYC inside pressure=2.6 x 10^-6 Pa

8 K shield temp:
Top=20 K
Side=18 K

Condition of view-ports;
There are "NO' frosting on the surface of view ports visually.

When:2021/01/26 9:30~

I measured residual gas pressure inside of IYC with Q-mass during cooling of IYC payload.
Please confirm attached three graphs.

The conditions during measurements are as follows;
IYC BS side inside pressure=1.1 x 10^-6 Pa
IYC arm side inside pressure=3.1 x 10^-6 Pa
Yfa (duct shield cryo-cooler arm side) inside pressure=4.6 x 10^-6 Pa
IYC inside pressure=2.3~2.4 x 10^-6 Pa

8 K shield temp:
Top=14.6 K
TM=92.2 K

Condition of view-ports;
There are "NO' frosting on the surface of view ports visually.

From the measurement, it was confirmed that the tendency of the pressure drop of the residual gas due to the cooling of the inner shield has stopped.

When:2021/02/08 15:25~

I measured residual gas pressure inside of IYC with Q-mass during re-cooling of IYC payload.
Please confirm attached three graphs.

The conditions during measurements are as follows;
IYC BS side inside pressure=1.1 x 10^-6 Pa
IYC arm side inside pressure=3.2 x 10^-6 Pa
Yfa (duct shield cryo-cooler arm side) inside pressure=4.9 x 10^-6 Pa
IYC inside pressure=2.5x 10^-6 Pa

8 K shield temp:
Top=18.6 K
TM=73.3 K

Condition of view-ports;
There are "NO' frosting on the surface of view ports visually after stoping cryocooler.
See Tomaru-san's K-log on 06/Feb/2021.

From the measurement, it was confirmed that the the pressure drop of the residual gas due to the re-cooling of the inner shield was not effected.
