LVDR cad setting for PR suspensions.

With Washimi-san.

I realized that some of the information given to us (JGW-T1604798, Feb 2016) about how to set up the card ready for calibration was wrong. Namely, in order to set the phase, it is instructed to use the wrong probe points.

The signals, whose relative phase must be set before calibration and measured for LVDT card replacement, must be sampled from points P_{i} and G_{i} with i = 0,...3, where former is the reference signal and the latter is the signal coming from the LVDT secondary.

 

PR2

  • In the phase measurement the signal at probe point G_{i} goes ahead of the reference signal P_{i}.
  • We measured the amplitude of the reference signal directly from the signal generator using the oscilloscope: it was 5.87 Vpp with nominal value 6 Vpp (repored already in 15376) at 10 kHz.

The amplitude produced by the signal generator should still be measured with the oscilloscope. The nominal value is 7 Vpp at 10 kHz.

PRM

  • The settings for the driver for the BF recoil mass LVDTs was not measured because a problem with how some cables are connected. Once that's fixed I'll go back to it.
  • The signal generator is shared with PR3.

  • The driver is is shared with PR3 and is in PR3 rack: S1403131.
  • The input gain resistence in SF GAS channel looks anomalous. It's value is 1.2 Ohms  whereas typical values are larger then 5 kOhm.
