Pre-isolator was extracted

Takahashi, Sato, Sugiyama, Miyo

Today we pulled out the PI and then pulled up the EQ stop to where the F1 was visible from the top chamber.

  • We retrieved the cables that were in the way as we pulled the PI out with the crane, and attached a jig to keep the position of F1 wires not to hang on the F0 keystone.
  • The extracted PI was placed on a pallet.
  • In order to extract the EQ stop with the GAS on it below F1, we removed the fixed jig that holds the EQ stop to the cross tube near the BF.
  • We removed the wire from the BF's keystone so that the 3.3m wire that hangs the Payload would not be lifted together when we pulled out the EQ stop.
  • When the EQ stop was lifted, we split up the work. Sato-san was handling the crane, and Takahashi-san was giving instructions to Sato-san so that the EQ stop would not shift sideways. Miyo and Sugiyama-kun made sure that the Payload wire was completely disconnected by locking from the BF's side hatch.
  • After this prepation, the EQ stop was pulled up to where the F1 can be seen from the top chamber. We finished the today work.

Tomorrow  we'll be able to take the F1 out after we retrieve the cables around the F1.
